Learning outcome
After completing this continuing nursing education (CNE) learning activity, the perioperative RN will have increased his/her knowledge of current, evidence-based perioperative practices and preparation strategies to successfully complete the CNOR exam.

Objectives:

  1. Review evidence-based perioperative nursing principles and practices.
  2. Discuss key components of the nursing process related to perioperative nursing care.
  3. Examine test taking strategies to maximize performance on the CNOR exam.
  4. Develop a personal study plan for success.

To receive 17.4 Contact Hours, registered participants will complete two online assessments, attend the weekend event, and complete the online evaluation.
The program also includes a study plan and a USB of the AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice.

Our presenter  Antonia (Toni) Hughes, MA, BSN, RN, CNOR is a perioperative education consultant and perioperative nursing expert. As a past chairperson of the Recommended Practices Advisory Board (2013-2014) and member of the Guidelines Advisory Board (2014-2015) Ms. Hughes will share her extensive knowledge of evidence-based perioperative practices with the attendees and help prepare them to take the CNOR exam.
